What do Girl Scouts, County Supervisors, a Church & a Grocery Store all have in Common?

Answer: They are a few of the Groups and Institutions Who really stepped up in 2020

Every year, we reach out to foundations and corporations, small businesses and clubs for support. It's a crucial component of our fundraising operation, as is funding from our City and County partners.

Last year, SOS Meals on Wheels found that our extraordinary effort to meet the needs of a community facing total upheaval of life as we knew it was met with an equally extraordinary response from community groups of all sizes.

Long-time funders provided emergency response grants. Businesses repurposed their workforce to get meals out to seniors. Groups previously unknown to us came out of the woodwork and asked how they could help. Social clubs, student and church groups donated homemade masks, blankets, and cards as well as care packages and shelf-stable food by the truck load.

Here is a list of groups who said "yes" and showed up for seniors in 2020.
