Thank you to everyone who joined us at the San Leandro Cherry Festival this year!
The San Leandro Cherry Festival is this Saturday, June 6th! The parade starts at 10 am and events are from 11 am to 6 pm.
The first Cherry Festival was held in 1909. Many things have changed over the years but one thing that remains the same is the strong sense of community identity and pride the Cherry Festival brings to the San Leandro community!
Over 10,000 people attend the Cherry Festival to partake in food, a beer garden, live entertainment, handmade arts and crafts, a special Kids Zone with rides and games, parade, Farmer’s Market with lots of cherries, community and City resources, and a cherry store selling everything cherry!
Featuring Headline Entertainment by En Vogue and Al B. Sure!
Make sure to stop by the SOS/Meals on Wheels table. See you there!
SOS/Meals on Wheels is registered with the East Bay Community Foundation’s “East Bay Gives 2015” campaign. The East Bay Community Foundation is sponsoring East Bay as part of the “Give Local America” national day of giving. The event helps non-profits like SOS/Meals on Wheels gain new exposure by the power of social media. Check out the East Bay Gives site at www.ebcf.org.
Please join us for our annual luncheon to help raise much needed funds for our program. Entrance tickets are only $25 each and include a delicious buffet lunch prepared by our own Meals on Wheels cooks.
There will be fabulous items to bid on for our silent auction and fun raffle prizes too!
